Question #13:

Plenty of Mate Candidates?

1.      Not really. Most of the Apostolic men I know either want a Barbie doll or someone with a name.

2.      Yes, God has put plenty of Apostolic men out there for a woman to find one to be happy with.

3.      I'm not quite sure because I don't feel that I've reached the time in my life when I've started looking.  However, I do feel that the more educated I become as a female, the fewer men I would consider marriage material.  I'm stunned by the males who seem to consider me off limits because I'm working towards my degree and they are not.

4.      Not plenty¾but a couple.

5.      I feel like there were a lot of people that I could have dated, and perhaps eventually married, but they weren't what God wanted for me.  I am thankful that I just didn't jump into marriage just to get married, or that I was afraid I would turn into an old maid, but instead waited for whom God had for me.

6.      No, there were very few available Apostolics around when I was shopping. When you've gone to the same church for 22 years, you don't feel romantic about the guys you go to church with.

7.      I think you have to look at your peer group and realize sometimes that you are going to have to branch out, but it is up to you to surround yourself with people you feel you could love.

8.      I would be fine with more, but when you fall in love that doesn't matter anymore.

9.      No. I am sure that I could get some witnesses that most of the guys are looking for someone who sings, plays the piano and has a name. If you aren't trendy and cutsie then more than likely you are not the first pick. Most of the males are uneducated save Bible college, and they seem to be intimidated by women with brains. They take the submission thing way too far for even me, who still asks for permission from my father to do things. We have to be a certain way, but they can be what they want.

10.  Not really...Pennsylvania is kind of lacking in the Apostolic men who have a good walk with God and goals and ambitions in life...we have a dry spell..haha

11.  There are plenty of mate candidates among Apostolics. Much better than those among non-Apostolics.

12.  I have dated a lot since getting back in church three years ago.  Honestly, the majority of them were great guys, but there have only been a few that really lived up to what I feel a Christian/Apostolic male should be and I guess some of that is because I lowered my standards and attracted that.

13.  Not really.  But I prayed and the Lord sent the perfect lady from 450 miles away!  Yes, God answers prayer.

14.  There seem to be less people to choose from the older I get. It would be great to have something where Apostolic singles can learn about others.

15.  I'm only 16…you think I wanna get married right now?
