Miscarriage
By James Crawford
April 4, 2005

You have considered me lost,

The pain has seemed so much to bear

But, I am with my heavenly father now

Waiting to meet you here

If ever you feel a tear come to your eye

Know I am watching, I will always be nearby

You must continue to run your race

You must finish the course

Love conquers all

It is life’s greatest force

If you sometimes feel me close

If you sometimes think of me

Let your heart be filled with love

Rejoice, I’ve already begun my eternity

You may hear me in the whisper of the wind,

I didn't ever leave,

I will always be loved and cherished

In your memories

I’m the child who you never met and never got to know

It truly was a miscarriage of justice that before I breathed my first breath

It was time for me to go

Just in case you’re wondering, mom I have your eyes

I can see why dad fell in love with you

But, I hate to see you cry

That song you used to sing

Is one I sing every day,

Oh Mommy, please, keep your faith,

We will see each other some day

Daddy, it's okay to cry,

I've watched you hold it in,

I know we would have had so much fun

Telling stories and fishing

That last thing I would ever want is too see you sad

Please don’t ignore mom, you’ve always been the best thing she’s ever had

As you hold my Mommy's hand,

And share with her your grief

Look longingly into her eyes and you will see a glimpse of me

To be with you in heaven is what my greatest prayer is

Live your life so that you can meet me here

The child: the miscarriage
