Print Dumb ‘ol Cloud The cloud moves across the sky so fast Dumb ‘ol Cloud In such a hurry, it misses the sunset Dumb ‘ol Cloud Not even taking notice of the children playing in the field below Dumb ‘ol Cloud No time to get to know the elderly man sitting on the park bench Dumb ‘ol Cloud Letting the winds drive and push it by Dumb ‘ol Cloud Before long its life is over as it melts into the sky Slow down Cloud Slow down “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away” (James 4:14).
I, meet Me I met myself the other day But I was ten years younger I was tempted to say what stocks to buy And advise what investments to make I wanted to warn of those who let me down And who to avoid, saving a broken heart Or maybe relay my mistakes and failures In hopes that they would be corrected I thought about telling when loved ones would pass on So more time could be spent All these things I wanted to say But I did the best thing, just walked away You see, I could have given the gift of the future But it would have cost me my life “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
