The Question: Who is your favorite Apostolic musician/musical group (under 35) and why?
Answer: “Jackson Mass Choir. Anointing and great songs.”
Answer: “Phillips Craig and Dean.”
Answer: “Kendra Gordon—vocalist. She’s anointed and can sing any style of music.”
Answer: “Holly Spence. She can sing. She has a great spirit. She loves the Lord.”
Answer: “Kurt Carr; there are so few decent ones promoted in the UPCI anymore—all has-beens; don’t know about ALJC.”

Answer: “Joel Andrus—He not only sings with such amazing talent but you can feel his love for God through his voice! I have never heard such beautiful pitch control. I heard him at Youth Congress and I am just so excited that we have someone with his talent in UPCI. He has a depth to his voice that most young guys lack.”
Answer: “Jonathan Dean. I like that song he sings with Kara Vanhover: “The more I seek you/running.”
Answer: “Billy McCool is an extremely phenomenal musician. He usually plays guitar at major events, but is in fact incredibly articulate in numerous instruments. He is the best Apostolic guitarist I’ve ever heard.”

Answer: “Jonathan Moore!”
Answer: “Gateway College—I’ve heard them sing many times at our camps, conventions, and Youth Congress and they are anointed like no other choir. They have a great spirit and attitude.”
Answer: “IBC (Indiana Bible College) Choir. They sang a song on one of their discs called “Born Again” that I want played at my funeral—it’s that good!”
Answer: “Roland Baker III and Frontline.”
Answer: “Switchfoot—they rock!”
Answer: “Our churches are blessed with awesome ministers of music. My favorites: The Impact Praise Team and Band (my church in Michigan); Derek Arms, Memphis. Both the group and individual are more focused on ministry than the potential to live ($) off their ministry. And they are definitely talented.”
Answer: “That one band... um... you know... they sing... and stuff.”
Answer: “Xample, because they are full of energy.”
Answer: “The Kears—their CD entitled “This Offering” is a wonderful compilation of worship music. I play it in my car constantly, especially the song ‘A Loss for Words.’ One of the lines says, “In my silence He still hears me....”—a beautiful thought.”
Answer: “Fallen Chains all the way from Wisconsin!! They are an awesome youth band that has played at the Afterburner at NAYC 2005 this year and they were awesome! Go Wisconsinites!”
Answer: “Steve & Sherie Bunch—They are sincere and their music is really good.”

Answer: “Since 1) I can’t afford to buy CDs to keep up with current Apostolic music trends; and; 2) the online Apostolic radio stations I have seen all include (“Apostolic”) Contemporary Christian and Rock and Roll tripe in their line-up so I won’t listen to them, and since; 3) the style (if not the Apostolic-ness) of music I like is available for free on live365, and since; #4) I am old-fashioned and conservative (although under 35 myself), I would have to say that all my favorite artists seem to be ones that are Trinitarian and are well over 35 (if not actually deceased). My favorites are the McKameys, Vestal Goodman, and the like. I like gospel music that actually contains “the gospel,” not some New-Age wishy-washy generic “He loves me” garbage. (Who loves you? your pet hamster?)”
