Reader's responses to The Big Question.

Question: What’s the best thing God has done for you this past month?

Answer: “God performed several miracles as I was taking a final exam for nursing at a hospital in Atlanta.  From the specific instructors to the patients . . . God had pre-ordained it all!”

Answer: “Given me a job opportunity.”

Answer: “He’s done so much for me! His forgiveness and restoration are beyond comparison. However, this past month was very special as my now fiancé proposed to me! I waited 28 years for God to bring him to me, and I thank God for him and our love for each other.”

Answer: “It seems like just when I think that God’s not listening, He takes me aside and shows me something new or speaks to my heart about something beautiful.  Just being near to Him and recognizing the comforts that go along with being His child never cease to amaze. There’s a song that Kirk Franklin did on one of his CDs that says “Jesus You’re my everything. . . I’ll spend my always with You.” That is exactly the way I feel about Him.  I know the question asked for something amazing God has done in the last month, but there’s no way for me to pinpoint it down. He truly is my everything and I love Him with every fiber of my being.”

Answer: “He healed me!”

Answer: “Healed my brother.”

Answer: “The best thing He’s done?  How about the best thing He hasn’t done—He hasn’t struck me down with lightning!  He keeps giving me another day, which is definitely a blessing in my book.”

Answer: “The best thing God has done for me is to give me a revelation of agape love—the crux upon which every other belief we have hangs.”

Answer: “Provided me with the money to go with my eighth grader to Washington DC for a week-long field trip.”

Answer: “He let it ice over Monday morning so I didn’t have to go to work!”

Answer: “He’s given me a new best friend. That doesn’t happen everyday or in everyone’s life!”

Answer:Best..?  I would have to say the “simple” things mean the most to me.  Just giving me the strength to keep going—and His love.”

Answer: “Given me mercy and grace when I had stumbled over and over again in the past few weeks.”

Answer: “I had a car accident two years ago.  The woman filed a lawsuit against me for more than $15,000.  I didn’t know if I was going to court or not.  Last week, I talked to my insurance that the claim was settled outside of court, and that I didn’t have to pay a dime.  Praise God!”

Answer: “Kept my heart beating, food on my table, a roof over my head, and job to work at.”

Answer: “Given me the breath of life for the last 3-4 weeks.”

Answer: “We were blessed with a ‘free’ van. God’s good!”

Answer: “He kept my pastor through his heart attack and surgery.  My pastor is much better and on his way to recovery.”

Answer: “He supplied the need of money that I desperately needed. I had two deposits into my checking account that I didn’t even expect.   They were two bonuses from my old job that I didn’t think I’d get because I hadn’t worked there in over a month, but they gave me it anyway. God supplied the need! He’s so good to me!”

Answer: “This is a question we should ask ourselves more often! He has allowed my mother to come and visit me and go with me to my ultrasound to find out that I am having a girl in June!”

Answer: “Allowed me to come into His house to worship Him.”

Answer: “Working on the heart of my son’s music teacher in the public school.  When confronted about inappropriate content in his class, God moved on his heart and he was weeping by the end of our discussion.  The power of the Holy Spirit in that room was evident.”
