August 7, 2006

For those of you who enjoyed the blogging from The Commune-ity at Month in the Life, we’re hoping to have some reports from the North American Ladies Conference in Louisville at Collideoscope, and then some more from the Soul-winning Boot Camp in Florida. August is all about big Pentecostal events—and we’re there!

For everyone else, we’d love to receive some submissions about college, as the start of a new semester at most colleges is 2-3 weeks away. If you have some thoughts, please scribble them down and send them in.

Re: Acceptable Sins: A Parable

Wow, Wendy, absolutely awesome article! Even though I have a Pink Razr phone, I won’t hold it against ya! Seriously Great Stuff!

Re:  Acceptable Sins: A Parable

Leave it to Wendy to take a common theme and thread it so beautifully, so artfully!  What a wonderful, fabulous way to get to the heart of the matter.  Yer awesome, Wendy!  I’m so glad that God put you in my path.

RE: Tommy Tenney: A Man Without a Home

I stumbled across your site while researching Tommy Tenney on Google, and came across your excellent article. Then I found such honest and thoughtful writing. I have often felt that Oneness writers can come across as a little defensive, and, yes, self- righteousness can be a response to feeling under attack (unfortunately it’s a fleshly response), but I have loved your articles so far.

I’ve only been in a Oneness church for three years, and I’m often baffled by those who are not willing to engage in dialogue on the issues that make Apostolic Pentecostals so different from many churches, and really examine why we do the things we do the way we do them. I love what you are doing—please keep on doing it!

Re: Shout Out to Bible Quizzing

As a former Bible Quizzer and as a parent of current Bible Quizzers, I was glad to read this article showing the positive side of Bible Quizzing. Thanks. I have forwarded the link to those in our church who are over the quizzing ministry hoping that it will inspire them to keep on promoting this program.
