April 16, 2007 Letters Thanks to everyone who continues to send articles and letters. They are the lifeblood of this ministry.
RE: 90&9.com and 90&9.net
I just stumbled on your website the other night. I cannot get enough of reading these. So inspiring and uplifting. I am a fourth generation Apostolic, but we live in northern Michigan and are often isolated from the whole of the Apostolic world. Please keep these interviews and articles coming. They are feeding my soul.

Re: “Witnessing to a Muslim”
Great article! I love to hear practical tips and advice about witnessing to people. It lets me know that someone is out there actually doing it, and of course, helps arm me with the knowledge I desperately need to do the job God has called us all to do.

Re: “Pentecostal Bloopers”
I would love to see you add this to your bloopers. It is a totally true story!
I attend Bro. Terry Black’s church in Memphis. My daughter was very sick with bladder/kidney reflux when she was a toddler (10 years or so ago.). She was getting ready to have bladder surgery and my pastor’s wife, Cheryl Black, asked me if there was anything that they could get my daughter to bring to the hospital. I told her that my daughter, Abbie, was looking so forward to “potty training” once she got over her surgery since this had been postponed by her illness. She really wanted some panties from the Disney Store and I had already promised to get her some. So, Bro. and Sis. Black came to see Abbie in the hospital. She opened up her “gift” and was so happy to see these seven little “princess” panties. Bro. Black asked her what she was gonna do with those panties. She looked him straight in the eyes and said, “Pee in ‘em.”
She is 12 years old now and we still laugh about it. Of course, the first service that she was back at church following her recovery, she had to lift up her dress to show Bro. Black that she had the panties that he got for her. (We wives never get the credit for these things.)
Out of the mouths of babes!

Re: “A Christian in a Secular College”
Hello! My name is Don Hill and I am a Bible teacher at Bible Baptist School in Shiremanstown, PA. I was wondering how I would go about obtaining permission to print and distribute this wonderful article to my Junior and Senior students. I believe it will be very helpful to them.

Re: “What Men Live By”
It’s a great story. I have a single edition of it. A small book from my father-in-law, who came from the Ukraine in the early 1900s. I passed it through my whole family who found it very inspirational, especially my aunt who read shortly before she died of cancer. I love the story and would like to make it into a play. I became interested in Tolstoy’s writings after returning from Russia in 1990 where I ran the Moscow peace Marathon and lived with Russian families during an exchange between Vietnam vets and their Afghanistan veterans. An experience that I will never forget.

Re: “How to Witness to a Muslim”
I am in regular email contact with a brother in a Muslim country where the government recently, since about December, outlawed house meetings because of militant Hindus, but this son of a long time Apostolic pastor in South India, still has secret meetings.
I would appreciate your prayers for this Followers of Jesus Christ Ministries/Up Way Publications International Middle East Evangelist at large. He also translates tracts in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam Indian languages and his father’s church are distributing them by the thousands. Hallelujah! All glory to our Wonderful Lord Jesus.

Re: “Giants on the Mountain”
Gread solid stuff! I found the 99&9 web site by accident, while doing a search for a Apostolic singer/musician. As I was browsing the site, I noticed Josh Lewis was listed under staff, then I started looking for an article by him. This is really special to me, as Josh’s father, Rev. Danny Lewis pastored in the “Southern” town of Tatum, Texas. Josh was just a young toddler at this time. His family was a wonderful blessing during their pastorate in Tatum.
It is so wonderful to see the evidence of the same solid teaching in Josh, that we experienced in his father. What a real treat!

Re: “Unprecedented Praise”
I enjoyed hearing about the conference since my heart was there. However, I enjoyed reading James’ writing even more. For those who have yet to hear this very talented musician’s work, you are in for a treat! I have said more than once that James has to stay at Gateway until my son graduates so he can learn all James has to teach. ;)
So . . . who is going to review James’ album? And what will be the next article written by James? Inquiring minds want to know! fab job, James!

Re: “Kim’s Italy Trip”
Kim, honey. Is that a dead animal in the picture with the whole group? Or an animal of any health? Your blog rocks my face off.

Re: “Italy ”
This was a very interesting and well written article. I thought the writer really knew her stuff. I hope to see more from her.

Re: “Women’s Apparel”
There is nothing wrong with a woman minister wearing a nice tight pair of blue jeans when she is preaching the gospel. I think it’s a real blessing to see a woman in tight pants. The tighter the better I say. I once saw a woman preacher with pants on so tight, I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She had my complete attention the entire service.
