Youth Congress 2007 Preview: Russ Cripps

Russ Cripps will be speaking at a Senior High breakout session at the UPCI’s North American Youth Congress in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the Associate Pastor / Administrator of Christian Life Church in Austin and has a degree in Finance.

He answered our questions on June 26, 2007.

90&9: What’s the first NAYC you attended and what do you remember from it?

RC: I was a heathen growing up and never attended NAYC until I was involved in Youth Ministry. Sorry to let my cult following down.

90&9: What’s your favorite NAYC Memory?

RC: God firming up my calling to the ministry. After a day service a young person (name withheld) prayed for me and spoke into my life. Odd… God used one I was there to watch to watch over me.

90&9: What do you see as the biggest challenge for Apostolic youth today?

RC: Understanding the changes that are happening in the modern church and how all of those changes apply to us. I’m tired of seeing us react to changes in culture. It’s time for us to step up and be change agents ourselves.

RC: Cycling

90&9: The last item I downloaded was…

RC: Upbeat funky jive type stuff. I need all the inspiration I can get when cycling the hills of Central Texas.
