Need extra money? Ninetyandnine.com is sponsoring two creative contests—one for video and the other for short story writing. Why not take a chance at it and win yourself some money? (We’ve already received a submission.)
Lots of letters this week. Many of them are still discussing the happenings at Youth Congress, so if you get a chance you need to go to the home page and read Youth Congress 24/7 as we’re still adding new content and news as it arrives.

“Be
the Church Project 22:39”
My heart simply soared when I read this article! Thank God for our leaders who have caught this vision and are putting it into the hearts of our young people - perhaps the members of our congregations who can have the greatest impact! Awesome!

Re: “Mass dinner/food help”
One of the most awesome promises and one that I personally have lived is in Proverbs 14:22. Planning and devising good for the poor, orphans, and strangers puts the future help and blessing in for all involved. Those three classes of people all have one thing in common. They have no one. Truly the Lord is awesome. God bless. This just needs to be passed on.

Re: “TV or Not TV?”
I’ve read your articles on UPCI and the use of TV for advertising and /broadcasting sermons, yet I have seen nothing which talks about the use of TV for our future generation: children who are the largest users of TV. What about original programming which teaches children from the earliest age about who Jesus is?
More people have TVs than computers; one can stumble accidentally into contact with more unsavory material on a computer than on a TV set. Children and parents who come across uplifting, Christ-honoring programming would watch together (as they do with Sesame Street), simply because it’s the best thing on for teaching children values and doctrine. The Holy Spirit would draw them; churches would grow.
Why do we always think about adults and how preachers might be ridiculed when they already are? This will not stop; but people need to see true concern from our churches for our children. Communities would benefit as would cities . . . our nation. Children need to hear the truth from the earliest possible age with songs, puppets, lessons, and the word to equip them to live a life of faith when Satan is not afraid or subtle in his use of every means possible to destroy them.
Are our children not worth this investment? They are our future and we see them for one to two hours a week on Sunday and Wednesday. How many Apostolic parents actually “diligently” teach their children about God during the week? They will, however, sit them in front of a TV for 10 to 15 hours a week.

Re: “Sit Still! Resting in God’s Promises”
This article has truly blessed me this day Aug 23, 2007. At a time when I must make many life-changing decisions. Changing careers, moving to another state and maybe even getting married. Changing careers is something I have been wanting to do for a long, long time, but fear and doubt has always held me back.
But now with more confidence in myself through Christ Jesus I’m ready to go forward, but in the mean time, I must be still and rest in God until He opens the door. Please keep me in prayer with the above career change, moving to another state and marriage.
Again thank you for this article, three years later and the Lord has used it to bless my heart, mind and soul for such a time as this.

RE: If I Knew Then What I Know Now
Thank you Debbie for this article. This morning waking up again alone I decided this is the day I am going to do it. I am going to place an ad on all dating website. I don’t want to wake-up alone again. I will not go into the holidays nor finish this year out without me a husband. Therefore I was going to place an ad stating that 44 year-old single mother of an eleven year old searching for a husband.
As my search begins with the web browser Google I know that you just type in what you are looking for and Google will take you. I am a person who put all my wants, hope, success and more in a higher Being. So, why have I put search for a husband into the hands of the internet. Then I can click onto your article and being to read it and very identifying with every word that is written. But also I got to thinking if it’s on the internet someone is getting paid for every time that site gets a hit.
Then I realize because of who I am I have gotten to where I am because I put all my trust into Him. So if this turn out to another great scheme that is something the web master of this site have to deal with. But thank you for having this site and sharing your story, this I needed at this time of my life.
I shall continue on living my life as now, I am not unhappy I just wanted someone who wanted to spend this part of my life with me for days eternally. And to accept that we are going to live our days sharing out time with on another. Instead of looking I will continue to wait for my God to send Him in His time and in His way because I know He do not want his children to be alone He have a mate for everyone.
Thank you for your article it was something that I needed at the time it was needed..

RE: A Question
I have a question. Is it possible to get CDs of the National Music Ministry Conference music of the 1980’s and 90’s? If so, how do I go about obtaining music from that time period? Thank you for any help you can give me.
Linda Santiago, Wisconsin
