Vienna Sets New Record

October 1, 2007

By Mark Winterrowd

Saturday, September 22, 2007 went well.  We started out at 8 a.m. The Vienna, IL mayor and the Johnson County Sheriff were the two city officials to validate the Guinness Book of World Records attempt.

We had around 20 people from the Vienna UPC to help roll out the wheel and measure the line of bank notes.  It took an hour and 45 minutes to unroll the wheel.  There was $22,010.00 on the wheel and it was 11,267.7 feet long or 2.13 miles.  The old record was just over 8,000 feet.
