22, 2007 The Question: My favorite scripture is ___________ because ___________.
The Answer: “I haven't found a scripture that I could say was my favorite because each scripture seems to feed into another. So if I had a favorite scripture, it would link to another. Then I would essentially have two favorite scriptures, right? And then that one would link to another, so would that be three favorites? And so on and so forth.”
The Answer: “Psalm 30:5. It promises me that whatever in the world I'm crying my eyes out about tonight, things will be okay tomorrow morning.”
The Answer: “Psalms 37:4, because it encourages me.”
The Answer: “Proverbs 3:5-6 ‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct thy paths.’ because it's, oh so true.”
The Answer: “Philippians 4:8: ‘Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.’ I like to measure my life by this scripture; if my actions can pass this test, then I know I am pleasing God.”
