Letters

December 10, 2007

For those who are feeling passionate about particular subjects, please note that we at ninetyandnine.com reserve the right to either not print your letter or seriously edit it down to a reasonable length (350ish words). Forwarding other people’s mass emails, while interesting in their own right, isn’t the purpose of this page. One option, if you wish for others to read what you have to say, is to submit an article on the topic.

Last week someone asked about a particular book used in the prison ministry, a reader wrote in and said that the book was The Healing Path by Dan Allender.

Finally, we apologize for the late uploading of last week’s fiction issue. There was a DSL outage that delayed us a day, but didn’t prevent our enewsletter for alerting you to the (for 24 hours) non-existent issue. Sorry about that.

Re: “Healed of Cancer

I have known Stanley Jacobson for a long while; I work in one of the mentioned hospitals, and grew to know his wife—he is truly amazing, as well as God; truly amazing at what God does in a short time or long time. Stanley looks good but I am ever so glad he will be here to bug me still. I love both him and his wife. And also God. So one person once told me which this will stick in your head from now on, when you are depressed or having a bad day and you are looking down at the pavement and stumble upon a penny or any coin at that, pick it up and just say “Thank you God for I know you are with me. Reason? Flip the coin over and it says “In God We Trust.” Ain’t it the truth!

Kudos, Stanley for hanging in there!

Re: “My Supernatural Experience-Believing for a Baby

This is a God-sent article to give me hope. I was just browsing through the net, looking for any articles regarding how to conceive—actually I was looking for Bible verses to lift me up and hold my faith and wait on the Lord.

The story you gave, it so touched me, I feel like you are telling my story, I have actually printed it and I will go home with this article and read it properly and open the Bible verses you have added here.

I’m in a same situation like the one you have described here in your article. I have been married for five years now, and God has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy who turned four years this year on October. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for another baby since 2005, finally on July 2006, I conceived but on the 4th week of my pregnancy I miscarried; it was a painful experience and a long journey. Since then we have been trying and trying to conceive, all of our friends our peer group have babies, our family members also start to question, but my husband and I, are still praying to God and believe that God will open His doors. Honestly I sometimes lose my faith, but my husband has always been the one to lift me up and continue to pray together.

Your article has given me so much hope and I will continue to wait on the Lord and believe that He will fulfill his promises in our lives and will bless us with another child.

By the way, I have also been praying for a baby girl, who I have already named her Larisa. Please remember us also in your prayers, pray for me that my faith should increase and I should not cease to wait on Lord’s promises no matter what.

Be blessed,

Name Withheld
