This week has been a
very busy week for me, between celebrating our anniversary, taking
my class out to Greek, giving my semester final to groaning students,
grading it, then graduation--I am ready for some relaxation! The
problem is there just isn't any time to relax in a busy May. Still,
let me share a scripture that really spoke to me this week: “You
will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose
thoughts are fixed on you!” (Isaiah 26:3, New Living Translation).
Hmmm, those whose thoughts are fixed on Him, will be in perfect
peace. After I read that, my whole countenance changed--the Word
is a powerful tool!
Re: “A
Stranger in a Familiar Land”
Praise the Lord!
I really appreciated
this article. This is the prayer of Jesus; “Father let them
all be one.”
I was previously
in a certain Apostolic organization that told me to stay away from
some other Apostolics that I met, because they were in another organization.
At the time, I was 21 years old, and was disappointed, because there
weren't any other young adults in my local church.
My pastor is
the chairman of the AWCF. The AWCF is an “umbrella” organization
that includes any person or group that believes in baptism in Jesus'
name and the in-filling of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence
of speaking in other tongues, and living an overcoming life in Christ.
The motto of this is “One Mind, One Strength, and no Division.”
I've attended
their annual Conference since 1984, and now have been acquainted
with hundreds of Apostolics from all over the world. We must
fellowship and stand together, and not be contentious over trivial
issues and meaningless traditions. The devil's people are
certainly united in purpose--we must combat against this in God's
army of righteousness. It's time to love our brothers and
sisters with the love and truth of God in our hearts.

Re: “The
Action of an Honest Heart”
I am no Bible
scholar. I am an ordinary woman with the desire to study the Word.
I want to have an answer to what I believe. I am not attending any
churches. The reason is what I believe is not acceptable to either
UPC or Trinitarians. I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and God
alone, and I am saved by grace through faith. I am baptized in Jesus
name and I do speak in tongues. I stopped going to church because
I don't fit in. I'd rather leave than cause division. I know that
I am saved, because of what Jesus did for me. I can do nothing.

Re: “Demographics”
“Other” For
me, “other” means other PC work and Internet e-mail communication
( not Facebook or MySpace,) with my friends and those who contact
me for church business, either from the church blog site or from
the Apostolic Writer's Digest.
