Reader's responses to The Big Question.

May 12, 2008

The Question:  Who's the best presidential candidate currently running? Why?

The Answer:  “For once we actually have three decent candidates. Bush vs. Gore and Bush vs. Kerry were both undercards. Now we have a real heavyweight fight.”

The Answer:  “John McCain, and only because he's the lesser of the three 'Democrats' running!”

The Answer:  “John McCain. Why? He is the lesser of the 3 evils. At least he is promising to appoint judges who will support the rights of unborn children. The other two want to continue the racist slaughter of the unborn to support the eugenics ideology that created Nazism.”

The Answer:  “God have mercy if McCain wins, but I fear he will. All we need is more open trade deals that cost jobs, tax cuts for the rich, endless war for profit, and politicians who do not make informed, deliberate decisions. I fear he will win, though. But Christians, don't be deceived. McCain is not one of you - don't be manipulated by hot topic election year issues like gay marriage or abortion. These are red-herring issues that they never address.”

The Answer:  “I don’t know – I simply pray God to decide since He wanted to be the head from the beginning and not have man over man.”

The Answer:  “Sadly there is no one this year. Obama: Look at whom he sat under with his pastor Wright. Such a hateful pastor.  Clinton: She can't even take care of her husband and she is going to take care of the U.S.? McCain: Let's just call him the flip flopper. He will say anything just to get elected.”

The Answer:  “Kent Curry. Oh! He is not currently running. He facilitates so many hot issues and keeps his job. Maybe that is why he does want to run for president. Go, Kent!”

The Answer:  “I have no idea anymore. It seems like there are no real choices for an Apostolic to vote for this term.”

The Answer:  “None of the above!”

The Answer:  “Does it really matter?  We live in a democratic society - not under a dictatorship. There are too many checks and balances in place in our government to give one person complete control. I guess we should be looking for someone who will listen to what we need and want for our future.”

The Answer:  “Either John McCain or Hillary Clinton. Because Obama has no moral values. He doesn't care about anything religious and has already made so many comments about religion that it’s scary to think what will happen if he becomes President.”

The Answer:  “McCain...experience.”
