Reader's responses to The Big Question.

September 8, 2008

The Question:
What Pentecostal would be a great running mate for the two Presidential candidates? Why?

The Answer:  “Nathan Reever. He has been the youth president of Missouri, which is like being governor. He has served as Youth President for UPCI, which shows he can raise money and spend it wisely. (We got more for our Sheaves for Christ dollars with him!) Finally, he is now the North American Bible Quizzing Director, which shows a concern for education. In short, we just can't go wrong with Reever.”

The Answer:  “Harry Scism.”

The Answer:  “My pastor would be the best un-politician in politics...he's straight forward, honest, and more conservative than Rush Limbaugh.”

The Answer:  “Nate Wilson is smart enough to pull it off, and conservative enough to pull in the votes from the religious right.”

The Answer:  “I have no idea. There are too many good men to choose from in our organization.”

The Answer:  “My pastor, Billy Davis from Georgia, because he would teach Washington how to run a budget and stop the [financial] bleeding.”

The Answer:  “Jerry Jones—he speaks well and has experience with a large organization.”
