Question: Why are you so tired?
Answer: “It depends on what type of "tired" you're referring to. Physically tired? Because my days are filled with working, church services, powerful prayer meetings, college and career activities, youth activities, drama team practices, choir practices, birthday parties. and my own extra-curricular events. I'm on a 25 hour a day, eight day a week schedule.
Emotionally tired? Probably due to lack of sleep. It seems much easier to take offense to the smallest things when I'm tired. Thank God He gives strength to us!” Answer: “Because I am too busy. I have been working 60+ hours a week at work, my friends don't understand that after 11 hour days and working every weekend it’s really hard to meet some one for a 9 o'clock dinner and not be tired and disengaged.
My boyfriend has started questioning his faith, my church expects more out of me every week, I barely have time to do my own studying let alone prepare Sunday school lessons. My parents need help with yard work and heavy lifting. My brother has gotten himself into a heap of debt that I am trying to counsel him out of. My roommate is in school and working and dealing with an ill grandfather, neither of us have time or energy to cook or clean, let alone do anything except sleep and stare blankly at the wall when we are home. There aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week.” Answer: “Because I spend too much time on the internet!” Answer: “Bad eating habits; not eating healthy.” Answer: “Spending the past three weeks working mandatory overtime.” Answer: “I work too much and play too little.” Answer: “Because I am a workaholic and I don't spend time relaxing—in fact, I may not know how to relax . . .” Answer: “Because I don't get enough rest and sleep—trying to accomplish too much . . .”
Answer: “Trying to figure out the right balance between effective work and effective ministry and plentiful family time.
