Married for yet another year

I am a blind man that has gained assurance with each step

(perhaps I am too assured sometimes)

I still feel excitement and wonder at the presence of you

I still question why I of all men have earned the privilege of your love

(your love is an exquisite pleasure)

I am a blind man that has stumbled into something so unusual and yet so real (whether by accident or design who can say)

I explore the phenomenon of you and I discover newness with each encounter

The pendulum of the clock steadily recounts each passing moment but we have insurance against time and the seasons of life

We renew our love with each new tear of sadness, laughter, and joy

I am your man, your protector, your biggest fan

You are my lover, my hero, my mentor, my wife.
