College & major: University of Missouri; Bachelor of Science – Applied Mathematics with a minor in Biology 4. First job & the scars it left: Candystriper at the hospital coffee shop as a short order cook; then worked as nurse’s assistant on the cancer floor. I never again worked with food and never again thought about going into medicine. 5. Current Church: First United Pentecostal Church, Nashville, Tennessee 6. Favorite Bible character/story & why? The story of Rizpah in II Samuel 21:1-14. This is an amazing story of the difference a woman and mother can make and how she fought for her sons’ proper burial. I highly recommend that you read it. 7. Favorite scripture & why? “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18) This is one of many favorites; this is a scripture my grandmother quoted when dying of cancer. 8.
