Nita K. Curry 1. Byline name: Nita K. Currry 2. Born where/when: Salem, Illinois; 20th Century 3. Family stats: Husband, one child (Caleb), three brothers, three sisters-in-law, and nine nieces and nephews. 4. College & major: University of Missouri, MA in History; Jackson College of Ministries, BA in Missions 5. First job & the scars it left: McDonald’s at 15 ½. I am still bitter that I had to wear a polyester uniform and now they have polos! 6. Current Church: New Life Pentecostal Church in Bridgeton, Missouri 7. Favorite Bible character/story & why? Joseph. I can relate in many ways to his life. We are not always in the situations we thought we would be, but if we maintain our integrity and walk, God sees us through. 8. Favorite scripture & why? “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7) These scriptures are some of my favorites because they are the ones that I seem to quote to myself most often. There have been some times in my life when God’s peace has been so very important to me, and I know what this scripture is saying when it says that His peace passes any of our understanding. 9.

The one historic figure not named Jesus I'd like to spend dinner with: A few years ago I would have said Queen Elizabeth I or Queen Victoria or Napoleon or Rameses II or all sorts, but now, I would like to have dinner with either my mom or my dad, preferably both. I would like to show them the grandson they never knew. 17. Favorite Other: Collecting and refinishing Victorian furniture to someday go in an old house! Articles
