The Matthew 25 Child
I just got a phone call from my mom. She, my daughter and some friends are headed down to Ford Park in Beaumont where about 500 hurricane evacuee families are being housed. My mom is bringing a bunch of homemade chocolate chip cookies to hand out, and Mack emptied her toybox of things to bring to the children. "It was all her idea," my mom informed me. "Plus she pulled a book about Jesus off her bookshelf, and asked me, 'Grandma, can we bring this book down there and tell those kids about Jesus?'"So, here I am, all choked up and wishing I didn't have to work today so I could go with them. I am so proud of the both of them!
