This is that Tuesday, 5 Years Later
I rolled out of bed at 4:30 this morning to get this blog rolling and one hour later remembered that it was this Tuesday, the one following Labor Day weekend that changed the face of America. I'm talking September 11th, 2001 when I was at St. George Island, Florida with family and friends, summoned from sleep to "come see this..."

"This" must be a nightmare. But as you and I remember, it wasn't. This was disaster. This was death. This was demolition. And it was really happening. This day is still in the news as some 40,000 workers who helped in the rescue and clean-up are slowly diagnosed with sickness resulting from contact with toxins at the site.

So even though the dates don't match up, and I'm sure there will be a slew of stuff going on this 11th to commemorate it, it was that day today.
