No-Frills Apostolic Worship
I found a fantastic article on ninetyandnine.com this evening, something which threatens to bring a fresh breeze into any Church service, and is a brilliant concept. It's a no-frills, no-crutch service where...well, I'll let KR tell the story. But it is worth the read.

My church started as a mother daughter work (though we have always had an independent teenager kind of mother daughter relationship) but now even though we have grown and we have a sizable choir, and enough instrument playing individuals we could put together a praise team, we don't. Yes it would be nice sometimes to do just one more chorus of a song without having to repeat the whole thing, but in general it's much nicer to set up a play list with 15 songs on it (we have a computer with all the CD's loaded onto it) and have alter call, or one night we started worshiping and didn't stop for 3 hours. You just pop a few more tracks in the queue and then, just in case, hit the ‘repeat all’ button and boom the music won't stop until someone stops it. No one has to stand up there a monitor it. Everyone can be available to worship.
