Apostolic Idol.....from JK1
The Pentecostal Music Association sponsored the first ever North American Talent Search. The event featured three categories: Male solo, female solo, and small group. The first place prize in each category was a recording package from Daywind Records and Zion Records, plus $1,000.
My hat goes off to all the contestants. They were all stellar! For the guys, I was very impressed by Brandon Jones and Jared Freeman. But much props to Kelton French, who daringly broke out of the traditional "Pentecostal music" box and slammed a down-on-the-farm country song (and I don’t even like country).
In the small group category – hands down, it was all Xample. They’re sound was fresh, it was funky, and thank God, it wasn’t southern blue-grass. Finally, with the gals, May Nalasa tore it up on stage with a pure and powerful voice that belted from such a tiny body. I also enjoyed Kristen Leigh. Great job guys!

Kelton French is from Milton Fl. Just 10 min from Pensacola, Fl. Pastor Larry Webb. He is 15 years old, and yes, a Step-Out-Of-The-Box kinda guy! Thanks for the kind words! We are so very blessed, and very proud!
