Thursday – Is this thing already half over?

(Note: I want to give a shout out to all the youth leaders out there who take on the enormous challenge of bringing their young people to an event like this. It’s total craziness, isn’t it!?

Also, I apologize for my delayed reporting……I am finding it almost impossible to find the time to blog. I’m doing my best. I promise I will give an exhaustive synopsis of the event when I return home on Saturday.)

I overslept this morning…..missed the morning general session. Gripes!

I did, however, kick it into high gear – which is the only gear you can be in at NAYC – to make it to the split sessions. With youth group in tow, we headed to the Columbus Convention Center, which was about 3 blocks from the Arena…..just far enough to break a sweat.

Speaking of sweat, did anyone go to Chipotle for lunch? The spaghetti noodle line went clear out the door. I waited for about an hour and a half for a burrito! Crazy! But it was worth it. If you’ve never been to Chipotle, then you don’t understand.

At any rate, we’re here in Columbus, OH and I’m excited about that. I’ve talked to many out-of-staters regarding how they feel about NAYC being held in C-bus. Many do not share my same enthusiasm. Many reasons have been: too small of a city, not enough to do, not enough places to eat, poorly accommodating hotels, and a bunch of other lame reasons. Maybe I carry a bias, but C-bus ROCKS!
