Five Degrees of Separation and Other Randomnity
This is the month in my life, and random weighs very heavily
Ohio to Zimbabwe to Kentucky
I have a rousing rendition of "It's a small world, after all" going through my head. Check out this chain of events:
Speaking of Ohio...- I met L in college seven years ago, whose brother is married to T's aunt.
- My husband and I taught a bible study two years ago to T & her husband G, and they are faithful members of our church now.
- T & G invited Mr & Mrs B to our kickoff service for the revival last night.
- I know Mr & Mrs B because they work at the call center that I work for from home.
- If Mrs B didn't actually speak in tongues last night, I would be very surprised. I'm looking for a complete filling of the Holy Ghost in this couple's life during our revival.
While I would love to leave the sports arena to those who actually know what they are talking about, my beloved Ohio State Buckeyes are ranked #1!
I thought they were #2, but my husband lovingly advised me that just because they finish #2 at the end of the last season doesn't mean they stay there in 1st place loser's. I stand corrected.
OSU walloped Northern Illinois (who are they?) yesterday 35-12.
Big game Saturday at Texas. I'm desperately trying to figure out how to finagle a good seat at Applebee's for the last half, at least.
While you are sleeping in
I am laboring. Alas, this is the only holiday I've had to work all year long, and it has to be on the most perfect day since May. 72 degrees, partly cloudy, no rain in sight.
And I am here at home, on the phone, advising a customer that we cannot reissue their rebate check for them just because they didn't spend it before they left the country. 2. Years. Ago.
Good thing my morning shift is over at 1, so I can join our church picnic before all the ham is gone. And also, a good thing that Kroger's sells potato salad pre-made.

Liz, it's great to read the connection story! I bet everyone is just a little amazed at how God is using the Zimbabwe group!
It is good to know that Kentucky hasn't completely wiped the Buckeye out of you!! Northern Illinois wasn't a ranked team, but Texas is in the top 5. Your Dad thinks this will be a knock-down, drag-out fight!
