Currently Listening To: Joe Pace and the Colorado Mass Choir - So Good (1998) (don't ask me why)

Well another weekend is behind me, I feel as though it hasn't been long enough once again, but it really has been relaxing. Sunday was a great day in church. We had our annual church breakfast and it was very very good, it was followed by devotions from one of our board members, he did a great job. Sunday night was great also, a message by our pastor entitled "Shut up Devil! God hasn't showed up yet!" I have a funny story about saying shut up from behind the pulpit: I was preaching at my home church about 3 years ago, I don't even remember what I said, but it was something along the lines of, you need to tell the devil Shut-up! And then I paused...And my then 4 year old niece said so everyone could hear, "Mommy Unkie Lukie Just said a bad word!" needless to say it added some comic relief! So yesterday was a very fulfilling day in Church. Isn't it great when you can say that Church was fulfilling!
And then after church, my predictions came true when the Colts beat the Bears in Superbowl XLI! ok so I have a little bit of a confession to make. I hardly followed NFL at all this year I was too infatuate with NCAA ball to care about the NFL. I'm not going to say anything more about this other than I was really disappointed when the buckeyes didn't pull it off against Florida, that's what I was hoping for, but alas there is always next year!
Make sure that you check out this weeks literature edition of 90 & 9. I found the article Essential literature: Titles that can't be missed, pretty much on target other than a couple of areas. One title that I found was missing was Death of a salesman, and I also thought that To Kill a Mocking Bird should have made the number one spot (JMHO). But I do have to say there is something very intriguing about this Sarah k. Holland, Hmmm...I find her very interesting. Anyway I must be off I've got a pot of coffee waiting for me, talk to you soon,
Luke
