Meet Virginia!
Ok, so after about three or four days of struggling to figure out how to get on this thing, here it is finally. For some reason, I had so much trouble logging on!
So I've been thinking about what to write to start off this adventure. Lots of stuff came to mind, but I really need to go ahead and get this over with first:
My name is Virginia. Its very simple. It's not Victoria. It's not Veronica. No, I'm very sorry, but contrary to many people hoping that I was born in Virginia so they can ask me whereabouts in Virginia and what city and all, I was not born there, and I have never lived there
Anyways, I was named after my good ole' Aunt Virginia, my dad's sister. Apparently, they made some kinda deal when they were kids a long time ago to name their kids after one another, I don't know. Thing is, dad has four daughters. He could have picked anyone else to have the name.
Ok, so you might think I'm making a big, stupid deal out of all this but you can not imagine my suffering. (ok maybe a little dramatic=)
As a little girl, people called me all kinds of things before they used my real name..but that wasnt so bad. The worst thing that has ever happened to me was when the pop group Train came out with "Meet Virginia". Talk about a conversation piece. On and on through the years when I meet a new person. "Hi, I'm Tom, whats your name?" Virginia, nice to meet you!" Ooooo!! Meet Virginia, they sing with such a glow of pride on their faces as if to be the first one ever to sing that to me, and then they see the blank stare, "I guess I'm not the first one to sing that to you huh? hahahahahaha"
Then I politely chuckle along with them singing under my breath, the old song "Leave Virginia Alone"...hahaha now that's a good song! =)
So in other words, I've heard all the songs, all the comments, any possible joke you might have, I've heard 'em all! It is now time to move on!
Thanks for listening!
Don't forget to tune in next time for more Surge with Virg!
ps. Special thanks to the editor for his longsuffering! :)

I understand the "name pain"! I've been called "Trish", "Treese", "Tess", "Tree", and a few others that I can't figure out how they came up with. I didn't think that Theresa was that hard to remember, or pronounce. ;)
Welcome to 90&9, I'm looking forward to reading more.
