How my brain works during inactivity.

Well . . . I've discovered two important facts today. (well, actually . . . one's a fact, the other is just a mindless observation/classification of myself.) The first of the said information being: I'm poor. And the second being : I'm emo. So with that said, let's tackle the first.

We had a discussion in my marketing/music industry/professional brown-nosing class today. (take your pick, it's all the same. rofl) And it was reaffirmed that I am a poor college student. And what brought this on you may ask? Ahem . . . that would be the fact that Celine Dion payed $5 Million per day for her tour bus rig while on tour. And that was the discussion during the three hours that I endured my professor's "road stories." Oh, btw, this was a SEVEN MONTH tour.

Anyway, I have also discovered that I have a real (insert word that I'm at a loss for at the moment, but know that it's something along the lines of "love" right . . . HERE) for the written work. I'm currently in the middle of three different books. And I'm actually consistently reading them. Erwin McManus is a GENIUS! "Soul Cravings" is, at the moment, my favorite book. OH . . . sry, I've seemed to gotten sidetracked from my point. What does this have to do with me being "emo," you may ask? Well, I don't know really, I just like that style of music lately. (aside from my usual David Crowder Band obsession. hehe) Plus, I've heard, that I fit most of the "characteristics." But we'll wait and see. Regardless, today was the most exaustingest day ever. (Yes, I know that I used bad English. I can do that, "I'm" typing. lol) I actually did that to hack off my "obvious" friend. ;) Later folks. Maybe I'll have a point next time. But then again, not having a point kinda IS the point. Adue.

Comments:
wow, you're admitting your emo? Very brave, indeed. ;)

Even most of the bands who play that style of music won't admit their "emo" status. Just out of curiousity, who are some of your faves?

The usual. Death Cab, Dashboard (up for debate whether they're emo lol), The Red House Painters, I also like random stuff like Imogen Heap, Bjork and such.

Any song recs for Death Cab for Cutie? I had a friend tell me I'd love them but they're crazy prolific and not sure where to start. And yeah, Dashboard is emo. lol. I'm glad you said Imogen Heap, she's awesome, kind of reminiscent (to me anyway) of GoldFrapp. I like a lot more but it's a terrifying array of selections. Have you heard of Rocket Summer?

Yeah, saw them live with Relient K one time. It rocked. As far as Death Cab, Marching band of Manhattan,(sp?) or Your Heart is an Empty Room, are great choices.

hey thanks for the recs...added them to the ipod and I think they're cool. As for rocket summer in concert, yeah he's awesome live. Just went a few weeks ago to his concert with The Early November (can't tell you how they were bc we actually left AFTER RS played...heh.) And a bunch of us are planning to make the hellogoodbye/rocket summer tour when it comes to the house of blues here (orlando) in May -- it'll be cool -- though hellogoodbye doesn't sound as good live as they do on their CD but not too bad, it's just always a little bit of a let down, ya know?

Jody is musically retarded, don't pay any attention to her musical suggestions... Afterall she is a member of the Paula Abdul fan club!
