The Perfect Day
Hello all . . . again,
I've been losing track of my days lately. It sucks. But maybe that was the original intent. If we lose track of our days, then we can't control them, or live for ourselves or own agenda. But that's beside the point. I did, however, finally get some sleep. Not much, but it was better than nothing. I put on some Imogen Heap and drifted off like a wave. I was wonderful. Anyway, back from my tangent. Today's weather was BEAUTIFUL! I just wanted to walk around campus all day. It was that wonderful. The sun was shining through the trees; it looked like a leopard taking a nap on the concrete. And I started thinking, as I often do when inspired by God's wonder. lol The whole reason that I enjoyed today was because of the sunlight and warmth, but only because it was coupled with the "shadows" that were created by the sunlight shining through the trees around campus. So in going with this analogy, light and darkness that is, let's muse a little. Most people look forward to the amazing days with God. You know, the sunny only days. But a lot of the time, they fail to realize the beauty in their "dark" days. But when I walked into the shade created by the trees, the sun just jumped out at me. It wouldn't have had that effect without the darkness. The temperature was also a lot colder in the shade too. But if it's sunny all the time, eventually you'll dehydrate and die. Life takes a balance. A lot of the time we have a wrong "idea" of "ideal" as Christians. And don't get me started on that discussion. lol There are no throw away words in the Bible. This includes, "All things work together for the good . . ." All is a pretty "all-inclusive" word. ;)
