NAYC: Thursday Morning / Afternoon Thoughts

* I love history, but not this kind. The Charlotte Observer said yesterday's 102 F was Charlotte's highest in 128 years. Sorry, just not interested in this.

* The Pentecostal Music Association has received hundreds of votes so far for the best Male Vocalist contestant from last night. Tonight it's the Lady's turns, while groups contend Friday night. Voting goes through Friday night at 7:30, w/the winner's being announced during the offering. The votes cost 99 cents via text message. Weirdly, teenagers are complaining they can't vote because they don't have cell phones. I had no idea there were Pentecostal teenagers without cells.

* Over 9,000 cash registrants. They're expecting a record total. Last night's crowd estimate is probably safer at 16,000 once the floor seats are taken into effect.

* Casual to dress clothes today. Not many worth shooting -though one brave Texas girl arrived carrying her dress shoes instead of pretending she'd be wearing them most of the day. (Below)* I snapped a picture of the world's longest lunch line at the Burger King right across the street from the arena.

AHHHH!!! It is almost 1am Friday morning, and there are no posts about the Thursday evening preaching! Us NAYC junkies who couldn't afford to go need to know what happened! HELP!!!!! I need to go to bed.....

BTW, the time stamp on previous post is not right.. it is currently 12:51 am, not 11:50 pm...

I think the time on the post depends on the time of the poster's computer. Mine is set an hour earlier because I'm from another time zone! So my time will be an hour off too.
