To "B" or not to "B"--SarahK
The B Event
Was the theme of last night's 20something gathering. The place was a cool jazz atmosphere when I arrived to set up the 90&9 liveblogging (sorry, the wireless) booth. But in no time at all, it was packed. I sat close to the entrance and watched as a stream of people continued to enter for nearly an hour. Just when I thought they couldn't possibly add another person, Bro Nate Binion brought things underway for an incredible fashion show and concert with the Royal Tailor Band. RTB rocked out, and the place was crazy. I did notice that a few minutes into the band, the stream of people started in the other direction. Apparently if you weren't in front, and couldn't see and enjoy things, and humidity with a crush of people isn't your thing, you were the first one out. After that, the crowd stayed tight with people mingling and catching up. The B event was a great time, and a necessity, if the GYD intends to keep the 20somethings both in church and actively attending youth congress!!!
I hope for more in the future. Good job Bro. Nate Binion, CMI, and the GYC for recognizing this need!
