Whatever you need...
Hey guys!!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I babysat all weekend but it was still a good weekend.
Being on my own and without my parents is very different. One thing that I had to learn while being away from them is how to rely totally on God and how to look to Him for the protection I needed and longed to feel. I ended up writing this just a few weeks of being here on my own:
Feeling alone, insecure, scared? I'm here to tell you a story about a girl who has been in that position for a while. This girl had lived with her parents her whole life. Feeling protected from everything and relyed on them for everything. She would still feel scared or alone sometimes but she always had mommy and daddy to embrace her and tell her everything would be ok. Until one one day she didn't have her parents by her side any more. They were a phone call away but they weren't right by her side. Suddenly she felt all alone, insecure of her surroundings, and scared because her parents weren't there to protect her anymore. The world became so much bigger and struggles became harder. She started to have to make choices on her own, take care of herself, rely on herself-something she never really had to do. She didn't understand why it seemed like her world was caving in. Feeling so miserable, hurt, unhappy she finally went to her room, shut the door, fell to her knees, and started craying. While doing so she started praying and talking to God about everything and while in His presence she suddenly felt a protection she hadn't felt in a long while. She felt as though God came and totally surrounded her and overwhelmed her. It seemed as though He was saying, "Just stay in my presence, stay right where I am and I'll be your protection, everything that you need, I am." Whith that she definently didn't want to get out or away from what God ahd for her. She realized that life is going to get hard but if she will just look to God and let Him surround her He'll take the place of what you feel is missing and keep you and take care of you. She also realized she didn't have to rely on herself when God was taking care of it all. Don't let the world and lifes struggles overwhelm you, let God take their place and surround you with His eternal protection. Psalm 61:1-8
I choose to share this with you all because I know that I am not the only one who has had to go out on her own and learn how to rely totally on God. Going out on your own isn't easy, I know, but to any one who is needing to feel the protection that they used to feel from their parents or some one else but you may not have them around any more I just wanted to tell you that God can be what ever you need Him to be.
