As for Huckabee, I hope he isn't going all the way.

If one notices, any and all media attacks on him are merely form, with no teeth. They NEED him to be the nominee, or Hillary loses.

The man has severe vulnerabilities lurking beneath the surface. And if the press can successfully cajole the Evangelicals into voting him in, the will DESTROY him at general election time.

Remember, in the media circus, this is, and has always been about Hillary, and her rightful entitlement to the throne.

I hope Huckabee is the nominee, but hoping that the same polls are true that show Obama far ahead of Hillary. If she is elected President, that would mean that since 1980 - 28 years almost - a member of either the Bush or Clinton family has been the head of our government. Do we really think there no other American family good enough to run this country?

Can you help the Evangelicals like myself support a "Rudy" when he represents an obvious departure on abortion?

I cannot vote for someone for national office if he is not Pro-Life. For me it IS a trump card of sorts.

For example, many American conservatives are pro Second Amendment rights, but a primary reason for having gun rights is to preserve and protect life.

I wish I could do that. But I can't. Huckabee will be decimated in the general, whether or not Dr. Dobson is on board. Why? because he is politcally and spirtually schitzophrenic.

I wish Roe V. Wade was the issue on which this election turned for me. But this election--like the last one--sees at our borders and in our world, a malicious, seething religion that not only demands submission to their coercive repugnant god, but are simply waiting for the first weak link to enter the white house before they start imposing their sharia law. Since Huckabee will NEVER be president, that leaves us Ms. Lucretia Borgia herself.

But, if electing Hillary by proxy is what it takes to satisfy the political consciences, then fine. But make no mistake about it--that is what will be happening.

Maybe it's just me. But I also believe that "pro-life" would also include keeping those who have overtly been convicted of murder behind bars. Mr. Huckabee seems to have a little problem keeping his pardon pen off the prison dossiers, only to see them kill again:

Anyway. I guess fast tracking America to an islamic-run country does have one high point. They might slit our infidel throats in the short-term, but they'll sure as anything overturn Roe V. Wade.

And I guess that's good enough.

Some great thoughts Ron, and I can't say I seriously disagree. While I am staunchly Pro-life national security and our leaky borders are a close second.

Must we have another internal attack in the US to wake folks up?

Very good point about the Islamic extremists outlawing abortion while murdering "infidels".

I just hope we don't have to choose between a Pro-life candidate and one strong on national security.

I have a feeling we have the exact same hopes. I just hope media exploits, who love to drive a wedge bewteen Christians coincidentally every election cycle, are ineffectual this time.
