A Month in the Life

Well, as wonderful of a job that Ben did as blogger, his time has come to an end. And since it is the "A Month in the Life" blog, and it is a new month, you get me to entertain you.

While every blogger chosen for this puts their own personal spin on things, this blog is going to be even more different. Before I release the big secret as to what's going on, I'll introduce myself.

The Basics:

Who am I?: Hi, my name is Stephanie LeBlanc. Kent recently convinced me to put my testimony on here. I also spoke at the camp meeting in Tioga about two years ago, just to give you some back ground as to who I really am and whatnot.

Where am I?: I am a transplant from a very small swamp town near New Orleans (by the way, it is not New Or-lee-anz, people will know you're an instant tourist)to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Funny joke that every one who has met me has heard... the town I grew up in was so small and swampy that being late to school because an alligator was in the road was a viable excuse. Moving on...

What do I do?: Unfortunately, I am stuck, with my bad case of senioritis, at the Manship School for Mass Communication at Louisiana State University until May.

College grads or soon-to-be grads, ever notice how the rest of the years fly by, but that last semester seems like an eternity?

What do I get paid for?: People pay me to take pictures... of them, their dogs, their engagements, their weddings, their buildings... you name it, I shoot it - with my camera, of course!

What do I do for fun?: God has blessed me with the opportunity to get paid for what I love to do. Ain't He great?

How old is this crazy person?: 22

What am I going to talk about?: Here's where the secret is getting outta the bag: this will now be a photo blog! Woo hoo, right? I will post a picture that I've taken and describe what steps were taken to get that picture, or what I was going for, or what it came out as, or what just randomly happened at the same time I took the picture, or a combination of all of the above.

This will give you a sort of glimpse into the mind of a photographer - or at least mine. Before you shoot me down for being the worst photographer ever on the face of the earth, keep this in mind. God has let me realize this talent...oh, only 6 months ago. While that is a very short time, God has blessed me and it is taking off and I sure am trying my best. (Imagine that last statement being said in a Southern drawl and it makes my case even more appealing.)
