Natchez in the Winter
The husband and I, along with various other couples in our church, went to Natchez for a "marriage retreat" a few weekends back. Natchez was pretty, even though it was cold, so the husband and I spent most of our time being antisocial and walking around while I took pictures. I must say, I enjoyed it! It even snowed while we were there, so we went for a stroll downtown early in the snowy morning, had a snowball fight, and ate at Natchez's equivalent of Star's Hollow's Luke's. That's a lot of apostrophes there!
Anyway, here are some of the shots I took while meandering around town:
That's the street right outside of our hotel. I thought it looked like a post card. There aren't any funny stories behind this one, sorry. But I love how time seems to have stood still for this small part of America and the only difference between this and one taken decades ago would be the design of cars.

This little guy was perched on a brick fence outside of one of the fabulous houses. Thank goodness I had my telephoto lens or I wouldn't have been able to get close enough to catch him before he flew off. His little feathers are moving around coz it was insanely windy out there.
