Witnessing Issues
OK so I need to share a witnessing issue that I have in hopes that someone will be able to help me with my problem. These past couple of years I have really tried to up my witnessing game, I make an effort to tell at least one person a day about God and church in hopes that one day they will come. However, in doing so I have found an issue that I never imagined I would face. I typically will try to strike up conversation at the mall or maybe blockbuster with anyone who would like to talk to me. Yet, the majority of individuals I find myself inviting to church are guys around my age. Now I know this seems like no big deal, but the issue is this, I am a single 24 year old girl and it appears that when I invite a single guy to church they typically take it like I am asking them out on a date. Obviously, my intent is to invite them to church so that they can receive salvation, but to them they see a single girl asking them out. I would never consider myself a flirt, but I would consider myself friendly, which I have found out can be somewhat of a fine line. So I guess my question is, how should a single individual go about inviting someone of the opposite sex to church without making it appear that they are diving into the "missionary dating game?"

Allison, At 25 and new in church, any girls at college who wanted go out with me got one "date": a trip to church. If they didn't like church, I would still talk to them afterwards, but "dating" was ended at that point. So...if the guys who follow you willingly to church don't seem interested, talk to them but let them know up front that the only time you can be together is at a church service or event. It worked for me!
