Gracias A Dios Es Viernes...

My bad every one I so forgot to introduce myself!!! My names Amanda Tate!!! I am an 18 year old college freshman going to St. Charles Community College!!! Sorry for not introducing myself in the first blog.
THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY or in spanish GRACIAS A DIOS ES VIERNES!!! I had my four hour long spanish class today and I really want to learn spanish but 4 hours of just sitting in a class room gets a bit boring and tiring. I find myself having to find things to do at my desk to keep me from falling asleep!!! I've learned a lot already though and I'm determined to learn it. You see my dad is now the new pastor of a church in Mesa, Arizona so that means a lot of spanish talking people. Well, it's a smaller church right now but I know that it is going to grow and when it does that means that some people who can only speak spanish are going to be coming too. So I want to learn spanish fluently so that I can be a translator for them and my dad. So I'm working hard to accomplish this!!!
It has been a long week though and I'm soooooo tired but I guess it comes along with college!!! I'm sleeping in tomorrow though...YEAH!!!
But this is going to be a short one today because I'm pooped but I will post some pictures of me and tell you more about this great place you call college!!!

Whew...what a day and what a week it has been!!! If you all have been wondering where I have been and why I haven't been posting, well, actually I have. I have been blogging for the past couple of days but for some reason it wasn't saving and letting the blog be posted. So thanks to the wonderful Bro. Kent Curry we have it all under control now!!!
School has been crazy...I have two tests tomorrow and I have been doing homework all day long today...not a pity party I promise but if you all want to know what it's like to be a new freshman in college without having to experience it for yourself, well I am here to fill you in.
College is VERY different from high school in terms of homework, schedules, people, teachers, everything. The teachers don't care if you show up to class or not, all they care about is the fact that they are getting paid just to teach. They're are good teachers, don't get me wrong, but they are not high school teachers!!! Homework is mostly ALL reading and I hate reading what I'm not interested in but ya gotta do it!!! My schedule though has TOTALLY changed because I get out of school so much earlier than I did in high school. Some days I only have one class and the other days I have two classes...pretty nice. The people are different because there is such a diversity of people...young-old, American-or some one from a different country. It's interesting...in a cool way, don't worry.
But this blog is pretty long so I'm gonna go now and holla at ya'll tomorrow!!! Hope this posts this time!!! Have a WONDERFUL rest of the week!!!
