Being a Kid Again...

So tonite me and a couple of friends went to go see Finding Nemo on ice. Maybe that sounds kiddish to some of you all but let me tell you how much fun I had because I had a BLAST!!! When you're in college and living away from your parents and you have to grow up some times you miss those days that you could just be a kid and just be happy with no worries attached. That's how Finding Nemo was because all I had to do was sit, watch a disney show I love, and laugh all I wanted and what better life is there. Some times I forget what it's like to be a kid because I have homework, have to find a job, and more and there's so much to do and a lot of the times I just want a break from life and to just have fun and I totally got to do that tonite!!! I hope that I will be able to do that even more because it takes away a lot of stress and allows you to just kick back and laugh and I have found that laughing is an amazing cure to take away all the stress...try it some time!!!

I COOKED!!!...

So I'm SUPER excited because I made lasanga (sp?) and it turned out pretty good...I mean I'm not dead...lol!!! No, I had a taste tester try it and he said that it was good and he's a cook so he would know. I was really nervous about it because I had a lot of troubles with the can opener to open the tomatoe sauce and so I kept thinking, "If I can't even work a can opener how on earth am I going to be able to make this?" Well I made it and I'm pretty excited because now that is number 3 of what I can cook. I'm going to be learning a lot of new things to cook hopefully because I don't have my mom here to cook any more so now I'll just have to make stuff on my own. I don't mind though because it's fun and when you're done and the food turns out you're pretty proud of yourself and you want to cook more. Besides the whole can opener incident I had a lot of fun making it. I was home alone so I turned my music up loud, started cooking and singing and dancing...I had fun!!! It's a lot better than home work that's for sure!!!

What will you do?

Psychology was interesting today. I got in there and my teacher siad that we were going to watcha video about a murder that happened a while back. So we watched it and in this particular murder the victim was a young woman, named Kitty, attacked by a heartless man who kills for the fun of it. The man went out one night and found Kitty. Kitty ran but the man caught up to her and started stabbing her on a LIGHTED, PUBLIC street in New York. Kitty screamed and cried for help but no one came to her rescue instead 38 people watched this heartless murder and did NOTHING. Not one phone call was made to the police and no one ran to try to stop the murderer. Some pulled chairs up to the window to watch the scene, some saw what was happening but went right to bed after he saw. One man even peeked his head out of the door to see what was going on and then went back in his house and like every one else did nothing. The woman bled to death on the way to the hospital after some one finally called the police and an ambulance after the murderer left.
After this movie I sat there wondering how 38 people could not do ANYTHING to save Kitty's life. Kitty would probably still be alive today if just one person would have just picked up a phone and called for help. I couldn't believe how heartless not only the murderer was but also how heartless these 38 people were. They gave excuses like, "I was too tired. I didn't want to get involved. It was her fault that she put herself in that situation. I didn't have time to be a witness in the trial. I didn't want to fill out all of the papers." Ridiculous excuses of ridiculous people. Some assumed that some one else had already phoned the attack in. I was sickened and disgusted by all these people and in my opinion there wasn't just one murderer but 39 murderers.
This event made me check myself majorly and it caused me to ask myself a question...if I saw someone in trouble would I jump in to help that person or would I just hope, think, or assume that some one else would come and be their hero? I would like to think that I would try to help them in some way. Especially watching this movie I think it would cause me to want to help them even more because I don't want to be like those 38 people who knew in their hearts that help was needed but did nothing. It's kind of like witnessing to and helping our world. We know the truth and we know that there is some one who needs that truth and needs to be saved. So what are we going to do? Help these lost people some way, some how to save them or just let them die when we know we could have done something to save their life? What will you do?
