I feel good...

Went to DC today and saw the grandparents; spent some quality time with Natalie; put together gifts for Taylor's birthday party tomorrow; cleaned up a bit, and I'm actually going to iron a shirt for tomorrow (note: with the idgets around every weekend since Dec 10, I've been subsisting on non-iron shirts, since I'm too lazy to stop by the drycleaner...).

It's a great day to be alive.

Is that positive enough for you, tres? You are still reading this blog, right?

Right?

Children's Weekend 2008

While my pastor is away on vacation, he neglected to inform me that I would have to put together a flyer for our upcoming Children's Weekend (March 7-9). There's not much I can do for a children's poster except use bright colors and photos. So, last night when I was trying to come up with something that I could hand off to our founding pastor to have printed, I went looking through my external hard drive for photos from last year's event (Lloyd Squires always produces great photos). Unfortunately, I could not locate them anywhere on my disorganized disc, nor could I locate them on my desktop or laptop hard drives, so I decided that they must reside on the A/V computer at church. I also haven't quite gotten around to setting up an FTP server at church, so it would have to wait until I got to church this evening to teach. After finishing my lesson on honesty, I came over to the main building to locate the photos. After finding an empty Visual->Photos->2007->Children's Weekend photo folder, I finally located the photos in the C:\temp folder. Apparently I was really organized at that time. But you didn't really care about all that. The point is, as I was perusing the photos, I came across one of Chloe at 3.5 months. It's hard to really tell how tiny she was from the photo I published on Friday, but I thought this photo comparison would allow you to see exactly how small she was at that time. It also led me to think about completing the idgets post...

So...

I noticed that many of my posts begin with "so." I've also noticed this trend among my text messages. I will attempt to break this habit, but in the end I will probably end up reverting, since this is a word I use to announce that I'm in a conversational mode, rather than the serious, professional mode that often marks my email.

Can I get some suggestions on a replacement?

two-five

Today would be two-five for me.

Since yesterday, various individuals have asked me if I feel old now. In fact I do not. It may have something to do with working among 330 individuals, 12 of which are younger than me (I have been in more than one elevator conversation between an old attorney and an even older secretary that goes something like this--"Wow, you've been here 30 years, I was still in high school when you started." They look at me. "um, I wasn't born.") So I really don't feel old.

When I hit 30, then I'll start to feel old.

Questions, comments, concerns? Please feel free to Reply, or you can E-mail, but I won't get it...
