There Will Be a Bombardment of Posts...
When blogger actually shows all the posts I've made!

Since I just posted pictures about one of my best friends, here's some I did for my other. Miche and Caleb were actually my first people photoshoot, as I'm sure you can tell by my lack of logo.
They were great and we made a day of it. First, we took Christmas card pictures with the dogs - 2 dauschunds and a lab - and then went downtown.
Here's one that shows off the plentiful construction around BR:

At first they thought I was nuts for trying to get them to pose in the traffic. Then I almost got killed for standing in the middle of the road to take the picture when a truck drove up behind me that didn't want to stop. In the end, they love the picture, which is always nice.
This next one was actually taken at dusk which cast a really pretty light over everything. Although we initially didn't expect to stay out that late... putting three dogs in Christmas outfits and getting them to look in the same direction is difficult to say the least... the light made the picture even more beautiful. Have a looksie:

And, since apparently every couple just loves to show off their silly side around me.... a funny picture! Caleb did not think I would catch this look that he gave Miche after she said something or other... true love knows no bounds! This is actually their favorite one, too!

Striped Socks
Everyone has a pair of crazy socks. It can be the pair you proudly show off to demonstrate your qwirky side, or it can be the Christmas socks you're wearing in July coz it's laundry day. Either way, they're there. For me, it's a pair of orange and pink argyle socks my mother-in-law got me. If you know me, you'd know they're perfect coz I have a slight obsession with pink and orange. My wedding colors were pink and orange. Everyday I wear my pink backpack with orange Dooney and Bourke purse. The colors pink and orange pretty much make up a good bit of my wardrobe. But enough about my revealing obsession... I swear I'm not crazy!

So, tell me, what is your favorite pair of socks?
Today's featured socks belong to one of my best's Di. I did a photo shoot for Di back in January when it was freezing (mid 40s-low 50s) for Louisiana. To keep warm, she wore a pair of black and silver striped socks. She, however, did not want anyone to know about these socks and tried to get me to take picures from the waist up.
I did for a while, but finally convinced her to show her stripes with pride. The resulting pictures were cute, funny, and totally her personality coz she is cute and funny. Here's the first picture, which she likes so much that she has it as her profile pic on facebook:

And here's a second one that is equally stripey and adorable:
Here's another one, just coz she's so darn photogenic:

Blogger...Hates Me!
I really intended to post some cool pictures about socks... but blogger won't let me post any pictures right now. I'll try again in a few hours and hope something will come of it.
And, since I can't post the pictures, here's a side note, sort of related to the cover story. The husband and I interchange a chapter of a ministryish-related book and a Bible study book when we do our weekly devotion/Bible study. The book we're reading now is "I'm OK, You're Not!" The idea behind the book is very similar to the idea of the 72 cent tip article.
I'm not calling out A/P's for being horrible people or anything, but I don't think that we really notice the impact of our witness, or lack there of, to the outside world. As an outsider, I have seen both issues of the story. The book is a great one, and if you don't completely hate my meandering, stream-of-consciousness type blogging, you might actually like it.
That's all I'll say about that. Hopefully blogger will be working after dinner time so I can post some funky sock pictures. You know you'll love it!
